Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Hampshire

Vacancy description:

Undertaking of day to day reactive and planned engineering maintenance activities and improvement works at the Customer Fulfilment Centre (Automated Distribution Centre) on MHE such as conveyor networks, lifts, cranes, robotics, conveyors, etc.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Reacting to Material Handling Equipment breakdowns (both mechanical and electrical), locating the fault, analysing the issue and completing the fix in a timely manner to keep operation downtime to a minimum.
  • Be required to keep accurate records such as work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores, etc.
  • Work closely with other departments to find ways to increase machine reliability on existing and new equipment, diagnose equipment breakdowns and action repairs ensuring direction of labour and planned engineering activities fully support the operation.
  • Attend meetings as required, analyse data and find solutions to improve equipment performance whilst ensuring safe working practice and full communications are maintained at all times.
  • In addition, you will be involved in projects within the business to develop an effective engineering install and commissioning.

At the forefront of our Customer Fulfilment Centres (Automated Distribution Centre) are our Engineering team, ensuring that our technology continually beats the competition. Working in our brand new highly automated warehouse you will be using the latest versions of cutting edge hardware and software.

As the Controls/PLC Engineer you will be our front-line support with any controls system related issues. Using your expert technical knowledge and people skills to coach the Engineering team and improve their diagnostic skills to identify controls issues.

Engineering Maintenance Technician- Hampshire

Vacancy description

Engineering Technicians play an important part in supporting the operation in our state of the art, automated Customer Fulfilment Centre, providing 1st response to engineering fault conditions, reactive and planned maintenance activities as well as proactive improvement works.

The role will involve:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed
  • Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given
  • Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance
  • Respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns (both mechanical and electrical), resolving issues and actioning repairs
  • Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of equipment
  • Analyse data to find solutions to improve MHE performance, providing reports where necessary
  • Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard
