I am currently looking to recruit an e Commerce Manager to join my client based in Chessington.

Title:                eCommerce Manager

Reports to:      Category, Brand & Innovation Director

Location:         Chessington, Surrey

Hours of work: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday

Travel:             Limited

The Client:

My client is a premium supplier of fresh produce and , value added products tto all the major UK retailers and to food service customers in the UK. They have nearly 500 employees based in their manufacturing site in Chessington, Surrey and nearly 100 based in their sister  manufacturing site in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.

We have a £120M+ footprint as a Private Label supplier.

What is the purpose of this role?

This man purpose of this role is to step change the eCommerce business through maximising sales online 

This role will be responsible for building the overall eCommerce strategy including investment requirements, aligning it with our operating board and then driving execution through the customers.

In addition- as a fast-growing entrepreneurial business they are looking for a candidate who is willing and interested in learning more about offline shopper marketing and supporting the sales team as required to grow their business through instore shopper marketing 

Accountabilities / role measurement

  • Building and agreeing the overall NESI eCommerce strategy
  • Building an online sales strategy for each account
  • Supporting the sales manager to agree an online JBP per account
  • Managing the relationship and monthly meeting cadence with the retailer eCommerce teams
  • Building and maintaining the correct online range and eCommerce merchandising (i.e. mobile ready hero images and category leading product descriptions)
  • Building and leading the execution for an online shopper marketing and promotional plan including creative development and management of budget
  • Evaluation and reporting of online activity and overall online account performance

What experiences, knowledge and capabilities do I need to demonstrate?

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate:

Required:

  • Proven track record of growing CPG goods online via UK retailers- preferably Ocado
  • Well versed in using paid eCommerce tools with an understanding of what works and what doesn’t
  • The ability to build online shopper marketing plans/strategies demonstrating Return on Investment
  • Experience within a customer-centric business and exposure to customers
  • The ability to make an impact quickly and initiate projects
  • An in-depth understanding of ecommerce / marketing technology and processes
  • A data driven mindset and numerical abilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and flexibility
  • Willing to roll up sleeves and flex between strategic and very practical projects

Ideal:

  • General offline shopper marketing experience
