Head of Sales - Midlands


Circa £80-100K. Excellent Package and development opportunities

Job Purpose

  • Provide sales leadership for the Built Environment proposition
  • The identification and development of customers and market sectors promoting the companies services covering both architectural and built environment solutions
  • Work with the other divisions (Construction, Housing, Roof and Distribution) to manage the project pipeline from early design stage through to order/completion on site and handover to the client.

Dimensions and Context of Job/Role

  • To manage and develop the built environment sales proposition, focusing on early client engagement in the lifecycle of a project
  • The identification and development of new market sectors promoting the business to (Housing Associations and Registered Social Landlords)
  • Engage with clients in understanding the BIM requirements of a project and the development of BIM Execution Plans
  • Work with the Built Environment Technical team in delivery of nominated projects

Key Accountabilities

  • Be responsible for the profitable development of the company
  • Development of customer base and project pipeline
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with the UK Sales Management team to achieve and exceed business targets
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales (Construction) & Head of Technical Services roles in the strategic development of the Built Environment offer

Knowledge, Skills & Experience


  • Technically advanced in the understanding of BIM/VDC, with an ability to present and deliver a commercial benefit for the company.
  • Architecturally Qualified, or equivalent.
  • An understanding of selling professional services into the Built Environment.
  • Experience of differing contract types and their impact on the management of and delivery of a project.
  • The ability to work as a proactive team play, with a can-do attitude.


  • An excellent standard of presentation skills will be required, presenting to both Senior Directors/Managers and senior staff across the customer base.
  • Understanding the dynamics of commercial supply chain from feasibility stage through to project handover.
  • Need to demonstrate they can build relationships across all disciplines


Please note this role requires frequent travel within the UK and occasionally overseas.
