Engineering Document Controller- Hertfordshire

I am currently looking to recruit an Engineering Document Controller to join my client based in Hertfordshire.

Based at the companies Hatfield Head Office, the role of Document Controller will see you take ownership of documentation and assist to improve and maintain key business processes. You will motivate teams to buy into new ways of working and will act as the central point of contact for engineering enquiries.

Roles and Responsibilities

The role will also involve providing administrative support, assisting in such things as the coordination of processes, the development of templates and ensuring that the right information is available to stakeholders at the right time.

The role Document Controller will give you the opportunity to assist in engineering review meetings and conduct internal audits as well as working proactively to improve processes, ways of working and approach to documentation control.

Success Criteria

To be successful in the role of Document Controller, you will have previous experience in a technical / engineering environment as a Document Controller or an Administrator.

You will be analytical and critical thinking with excellent reporting and communication skills.

You will have the aptitude to debate detail with stakeholders and be capable of managing and improving processes.

 

It is important for you to be IT literate as well as being able to appreciate technically related topics and subject matter.

 

You will have a “can do” attitude and be comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced environment with the ability to break down and explain complex issues.

It would also be beneficial but not essential for you, as Document Controller to have experience of working with or an interest in Lean/Six Sigma Process improvement methodologies as well as experience within change management.
