Maintenance and Development Technician - Welwyn Garden City

Working within the engineering central team, this role will involve:

  • Responding to and diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and actioning repairs
  • Carrying out planned/reactive maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed
  • Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores system etc
  • Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of equipment
  • Complete quality inspections to ensure work is completed to a safe standard
  • Work with the NPI team with implementing new products
  • Work closely with the engineering R&D team in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance
  • Producing a daily shift report

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical engineering subject
  • Electrical experience preferable
  • Good organisation skills, able to prioritise, knowledge of control systems
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to impart knowledge effectively to others
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem solving ability
  • Technical ability and understanding relating to automation hardware and software
  • Experience of both reactive and preventative maintenance
  • Good time management, self-motivating and organization skills

This is a shift based role where successful candidates will be required to do both night and day shifts
