We are currently looking for an independent construction inspector (nightshift) to start work in Birmingham. CSCS card prefered.
Summary of Role:
• Primary production support to ensure the works are carried out in compliance with required quality standards, company processes, client requirements and that the project quality objectives and targets are met.
• Complete Independent Inspections of all works completed both on and off site
• Be an active member of the quality team and promote a quality culture
• Provide support and mentor less experienced members of the project team
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Develop the Plan
• Support the Quality Manager in developing the quality, assurance, and handover systems for a project to comply with company and client requirements and in keeping this up to date as the project progresses (particularly with respect to production quality control—e.g. inspection processes)
• Assist in development of ITPs and provide appropriate support to the production team to ensure they are effectively implemented Monitor / Measure / Report & Improve
• Complete detailed investigations with respect to quality incidents to determine the facts and root causes including formal issue of a corresponding report and associated recommendations.
• Record (or assist the project team to record) nonconformities (via the formal Nonconformity Report process or digital field system—e.g. Field View), assess proposed corrective actions and assist the project team to implement both corrections and corrective action.
• Carry out both planned and ad hoc surveillances and promptly issue appropriate reports. Provide appropriate support to the team to close out corrective actions and observations in a timely manner.
• Carry out quality / system audits on internal project processes, design partners and the supply chain (including off site manufacture)
• Promote the accurate and complete reporting with respect to quality. Assist the Quality & Assurance Manager to identify areas for improvement and support implementation of improvement initiatives.
Start Date: Immediate
Rate of Pay: Up to 40,000 pounds a year.
Hours: Monday – Friday, minimum 8 hours per day
