Managing Quantity Surveyor

My client’s operations in the industry have been ongoing for close to a century now; following immense hard work, the founders started off small & quickly grew, acquiring many other contractors along the way, ever growing their empire and becoming a leading name in the international market of today.

Working out of over 100 offices globally, this is an amazing opportunity to join a trading arm of this extremely successful company. They are looking to take on a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their Residential Construction Division, to be based out of Warrington based offices.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you’ll be working as part of and managing the existing QS team; the successful candidate will be required to work on various sized Housing/Residential schemes. You’ll need to be a reliable & committed individual with a keen eye for detail and have proven experience managing in the surveying field.

Main Duties examples…

  • Oversee the commercial function within an area of the business ensuring robust and accurate reporting processes and controls exist
  • Undertaking the day to day management of the commercial function within the section
  • Ensure company governance protocols and procedures are adhered to
  • Achieve high levels of stakeholder engagement and contribute to partnership development

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS…

  • Solid Experience with New Build Spec Housing – ESSENTIAL
  • Experience with Social Housing projects would be beneficial, however not required.
  • Varied Residential Construction project experience would be advantageous
  • You will have proven experience working within a similar role
  • You’ll have successfully worked on multiple jobs/projects at one time.
  • Ideally educated to Degree or HND equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • Computer Literate with confident IT skills and proficiency in MS Office; in particular Excel.
