My client’s operations in the industry have been ongoing for close to a century now; following immense hard work, the founders started off small & quickly grew, acquiring many other contractors along the way, ever growing their empire and becoming a leading name in the international market of today.

Working out of over 100 offices globally, this is an amazing opportunity to join a trading arm of this extremely successful company. They are looking to take on an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their Construction Division, to be based out of their Leeds offices.

Working as part of an extremely successful commercial team; reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the successful candidate will required to work on a mixed bag of projects, covering a variety of frameworks and schemes from £5m to £50million. You’ll need to be a reliable & committed individual with a keen eye for detail and have proven experience in the surveying field.

 

Duties will cover…

  • Preparing CTC documentation in line with the commercial timetable, ensuring financial accuracy when predicting profitability for each scheme/project.
  • Maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
  • Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers & payment of suppliers
  • Support the authorisation and submission of project variations; authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, materials and plant orders.
  • Assess the accuracy of subcontract valuations/applications for payment; Value work executed by sub-contractors and certify interim and final payments.
  • Implement all of the Employer’s policies including those for SHE and risk management
  • Ensure predicted profitability is upheld through the lifecycle of the development.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS…

  • Experience with a variety of D&B projects along with varied ‘New Build’ experience is essential
  • You will have experience working within a similar role
  • You’ll have successfully worked on multiple jobs/projects at one time.
  • Ideally educated to Degree or HND equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • Computer Literate with confident IT skills and proficiency in MS Office; in particular Excel.
  • You will have a full UK driving licence, be flexible with hours of work & travel
