Buyer - Residential Construction (N.West)

CLIENT/ROLE

My client’s operations in the industry have been ongoing for close to a century now; following immense hard work, the founders started off small & quickly grew, acquiring many other contractors along the way, ever growing their empire and becoming a leading name in the international market of today.

Working out of over 100 offices globally, this is an amazing opportunity to join a trading arm of this extremely successful company. They’re looking to take on an additional experienced Buyer to join their Residential Construction Division, to be based out of their Warrington based offices.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong business acumen combined with the creativity & vision to meet the needs of the business. You’ll need to be a reliable & committed individual with a keen eye for detail and strong proven experience in a buying role for the residential construction sector.

KEY REQUIREMENTS…

• Past experience in a Construction related Buyer position – ideally a minimum of 3 years exp.
• Experience with New Build Spec Housing - Essential
• Experience working with varied Residential New Build projects – Highly Advantageous

ABOUT YOU…

• Proven experience buying for the above mentioned project types.
• Excellent organisational, negotiation & interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel confidently & professionally.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word & Outlook
• Ability to prioritise and work flexibly to accommodate changing precedencies and deadlines along with the ability to use initiative and problem solve.
• Ability to deal tactfully with sensitive or confidential information
• An excellent team player, showing flexibility and a responsive attitude to team/individual tasks.
