The Electrical Projects Manager will manage the design, procurement and delivery of all self-delivered/managed Electrical project work and lead a team of internal electricians and support staff, ensuring a right first time approach whilst delivering in an efficient and effective manner to best serve our client and its Customers.
Responsibilities include:
Lead and direct a team in the design of Electrical project works
Manage the design process of self-delivered works ensuring compliance and proposals are fit for purpose
Develop specifications and evolve them in line with regulations and changing customer requirements
Have overall project Profit and Loss responsibility for all Electrical self-delivered projects
Set an effective Procurement strategy for various electrical areas appropriate to scale and risk
Manage relationships with suppliers and mitigate any risk factors
Ensure timely and effective estimation for all Electrical projects
Provide management reports internally and externally to customers
Ensure works are programmed in line with customer requirements ensuring effective delivery
Review and approve works completed by supply chain and ensure financial control measures such as interim valuations and final accounts are undertaken
Build strong, professional relationships with our customers
Use our CAFM system (FSI Concept) with both customers and suppliers and produce management information
Ensure the Employer’s Health & Safety obligations are met in line with Bruntwood Health and Safety policy
Undertake, review and document Risk Assessments and Method Statements for work being undertaken. Ensure the team uphold the appropriate safety standards
Participate in site Health and Safety monitoring and update Health & Safety records
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
Significant experience in the building services arena, with proven experience managing and delivering Electrical projects
Experience of delivering multiple projects simultaneously
Working in statutory compliance areas such as NIC
Experience of collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams
Knowledge of project financial controls and an understanding of Profit and Loss accounts
