Sales Manager in Laughton Common, Sheffield

Our client is an independently owned, leading UK, BMS and energy solutions business, managed by a team of time served engineers, to provide a unique range of control and energy solutions, with high quality support services to proactively improve building environments and help reduce operating and energy costs.

BGES are a Trend TTC, but remain vendor and technology agnostic, operate a 24/7/365 energy and controls centre, have its own motor control panel workshop.

The Sales Managers role is a management post, and will provide the business with:

A key member of project sales team,and have valued input to sales strategy and vision

·Full individual pipeline to order book ownership of the Projects department

·Improve the profitability of the business, by proactively managing and continually improving cost/margin/sell on all tendered and quoted work.

·Help grow the order book and pipeline by Introducing new profitable business to BGES

Key Responsibilities:

BUSINESS

·Conduct all activities inline with the company’s policies and procedures

·Help deliver the strategy to achieve the business plan/goals for the sales department

·Deliver concepts and processes for accelerating growth and gross margin within sales and creating a competitive advantage for BGES, whilst underpinning our values

·To be instrumental in formulating the scope of what BGES offers to its customers, and ensure delivery of all those services

·Highly customer focused with good communication and organisational skills with the ability to operate and communicate at all levels, both internally and externally

·Ability to report financially and operationally concurrently to the sales/management team/board

PROJECTS

·Full accountability for new Project sales, pipeline and orderbook

·Ensuring that every potential sales opportunity is identified, recorded and executed

·Providing the required financial reporting and forecasting information into the BGES management team

·Extensive knowledge of contracting and contractors, and be full converse withsub contract, commercial and financial documentation and procedures.

·Maintaining a full understanding and working knowledge of all BMS/BeMS/energy systems and services within the industry, ensuring we adopt a ‘lead by example’ and ‘best in class’ attitude

·Prepare quotations and tenders to a high standard, with the required detail for internal sign-on and sign-off with the management team

·Autonomously prepare quotations in accordance with technical information provided by the customer without distracting other team members

·Ability to work remotely on their own without the need to be supervised

·If required, complete technical site surveys on BMS/BeMS heath checks, energy audits as and when required

·Ensureallemployeesandsub-contractorsareawareof,andabideby,allapplicable Health & Safety and environmental legislations and safe practises of work.This must also be benchmarked and auditable.

Key Functional Performance Indication Areas:

Building pipeline, building order book value, revenue, margin, Health & Safety, staff and customer satisfaction.

Essential Experience Requirements:

·Have experience and comprehensive knowledge of service and energy specifically in the following areas-

§HVAC or Building Services

§BMS/BeMS

§Energy

·Track record of growing a service department

·YoY target performance <£600k to £1,000k

·Demonstrable knowledge of the BMS Industry

·Experience of operating IT systems and reporting/management systems using MS Office and Project management tools

·Full driving licence

Desirable Skills/Personal Qualities:

·Team player who demonstrates flexibility to work across a range of tasks and technologies, with the enthusiasm to succeed in a rapidly changing fast paced environment

·Degree/Professional qualification within the sector

·Within 1 hours drive from the Dinnington office

This list is not exhaustive. Normal working hours shall be 8.30am to 5.00pm; Monday to Friday, but additional hours may be necessary for the proper performance of this role.
