Our client is a leading design consultancy who delivers a complete range of traditional Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering services, from concept through to completion, to post occupancy review and analysis.

Electrical Design Engineer - Manchester

The successful candidate’s role will be to provide electrical design services across all stages of general build projects (design, construction, installation and commissioning). The role although predominantly in building services will also require flexibility to provide knowledge of and solutions to other sectors of the business as requirements dictate.

Essential Requirements

Be able to demonstrate a solid track record within the industry as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer and have experience of leading projects for consultancy or building services contractors.

The ability to work independently, within a team and liaise with professionals including structural engineers, architects, surveyors and contractors both internally within the Company and externally.

Experience in, but not limited to the following sectors; residential (high-rise would be ideal), commercial, education, health care, leisure, offices and industrial – together with site experience.

A good working knowledge of the following software: Hevacomp, Amtech, Relux/Dialux, Cymap, Revit, AutoCAD and NES spec writing software would be desirable.

• Relevant qualifications – HND or Degree

• Specification and report writing skills

• Knowledge and understanding of RIBA stages of works and Design and Build projects

• Working towards CEng status
