I am currently looking to recruit an Engineering Facilities Manager to join my client based in Hertfordshire.

Vacancy description

Our Engineering Facilities Manager will be responsible for the management of services and projects that support core business operations, ensuring effective management of all matters relating to facilities management delivery (hard services), achieving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

·Liaise with on-site clients, ensure all requests are completed within agreed timescales.

·Effective financial management by ensuring company purchasing processes are adhered to and audit trail is maintained.

·Recommend improved ways of working to achieve goal of continuous improvement and best practices.

·Prepare, manage and work within the agreed budget to assist in overall achievement of targets.

·Attend/participate in Health and safety reviews, when appropriate, and ensure actions are completed within agreed timescales and all documentation maintained.

·To be highly involved in site and operational improvement projects as directed by Head of Property and Development Manager and the Head of Construction and Buildings Technology.

·Form excellent working relationship with site operational teams, contractors, service providers and Business support services, with particular attention to Risk and Financial management departments

·Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and introduce preventative measures where appropriate.

·Propose innovative ideas to enhance the engineering functions and improve the general running of the business.

·Maintain and enhance the quality systems to ensure the site’s continuous improvement in a total quality environment.

·Prepare, manage and work within the agreed budget to assist in overall achievement of targets.

·Management of contractors and permit systems.

·Ensure all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented in line with company guidelines.

What are we looking for:

·Site Facility Experience

·NEBOSH National General Certificate

·Good technical ability relating to building services

·Be able to support and provide information and advice to the Engineering team.

·Ability to manage contractors

·Computer literate in MS office packages
