International Senior Project Manager - Hertfordshire

My client is a world leading innovator in online grocery shopping with a pioneering business model in which they are planning expansion into the global market. Developing their own technology and new customer propositions, opening multiple sites at an accelerating rate and engaging in exciting new business partnerships, there has never been a better time to join them. The expansion into the international market will push them to be even better as they demonstrate what they can do on a global scale.

I am now looking for Senior Engineering Project Managers to manage the implementation of their next generation International Customer Fulfilment Centres (Automated Distribution Centre’s) to the agreed specification, budget and programme, from initiation through to project completion, handover and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities

General:

  • ensuring the site is delivered to the agreed specification
  • managing the costs, timescales and quality of the project across all streams
  • working with various streams to challenge and agree their budgets and ultimately build and own the total Project Budget
  • inputting to and monitoring of the associated ‘Business Readiness’ & Site Set-up project streams
  • contributing, steering and signing off the CFC design - ensuring stakeholders agree to the design and that they are informed of project progress as it impacts their areas
  • ensuring eventful Testing, Go-live support and initial ramp up phases

Project Governance:

  • writing the Board Paper to gain board acceptance to the business case
  • maintaining and managing the projects Risks & Issues in line with the agreed format
  • establishing and managing the weekly / fortnightly Project Meetings with relevant work streams
  • maintaining and managing the Project Plans reporting status and corrective actions as required
  • maintaining and monitoring progress against the Preferred Project Methodology
  • updating Board Steering Packs – producing Weekly Status Reports and any “ad hoc” reports as and when requested
  • ensuring site implementations are carried out in a safe and appropriate manner, reporting on site safety performance from site occupancy through to Go-Live.

  • cost management and reporting
  • programme management and reporting
  • a highly analytical and logical approach to work
  • effective communication and presentation skills at all levels of the business
  • Degree Educated Minimum
