Yardman/ Service Engineer/ Driver - Northolt

TITLE: YARDMAN/SERVICE ENGINEER/DRIVER

JOB DESCRIPTION -

REPORTS TO: The Foreman and Steve and Adam (Company Directors)
BASED AT: Greenford, London

JOB PURPOSE:

As our yardman/service engineer/driver, you will oversee the maintenance of equipment in our yard and carry out stock checks, as well as loading/unloading equipment and driving it to and from site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. To be part of an organised and well-managed team who will be polite to fellow team members and clients alike.
2. Understanding and co-operating in all Health and Safety matters on site. Ensuring that safety is the number one priority. 
3. Maintaining the cradle equipment and carrying out regular stock checks.
4. Making sure your timekeeping and punctuality are kept to a high standard.
5. Loading and unloading equipment and driving the van to and from site.
6. Keeping the van you are responsible for (driving) in good upkeep, inside and out, diesel in tank, air in tyres, etc.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience of PAT Testing

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Driver of 3.5-ton van
• CSCS Labourer’s Green Card
• Good understanding of English
• Good organisational skills
• Numerate and able to carry out stock checks using an IT system
• Appropriate level of fitness and ability to carry heavy loads

WORKING HOURS AND SALARY:

• Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm. 40-hour week plus overtime paid
• £110/£150 per day initial starting wage
