Assistant Quantity Surveyors x 2 - South Manchester

CLIENT/ROLE…

This award winning client has been operating in the UK for the past four decades; during this time they have been immensely successful in their chosen fields of expertise. Evolving from just a roofing contractor to one of the UK Market leaders in full building envelope services offered across a diverse range of sectors.

With a North West based Head Office, where it all began, they have since opened numerous Nationwide offices and in 2015 branched out to the international markets, starting off in the UAE setting up their oversees HQ in Dubai.

They undertake an assorted range of projects from small upgrade packages on existing structures right up to multi-million pound, complex, new build projects; supporting their extremely valued customers during the whole process.

Over the past couple of years, this client has delivered a number of prestigious & high profile projects for some of the UK’s leading main contractors/developers. These include a variety of stadium projects, hospital developments and some of the UK’s largest controlled environment distribution/logistics facilities.

Due to their consistent growth & tremendous success, they now want to invest in two additional Assistant Quantity Surveyors who share the same passion for excellence in their work and who value maximum efficiency throughout the life of any project involved in, resulting in a seamless build, to exceptional standards.

KEY REQUIREMENTS…

Varied project sector experience required - Preferably in all or at least a number of the following areas; Healthcare, Controlled Environments, Energy/Waste, Education, Hotel/Leisure, Retail, Preventative Maintenance etc.

Experience with projects/packages involving Cladding, Roofing, Glazing - Essential

Varied ‘New Build’ experience along with D&B project experience will be highly advantageous.

Ability to objectively evaluate & assess an idea/situation before deciding on the appropriate course of action

You will have experience assisting on projects ranging from £1million - £10million in value

You will have successfully assisted on multiple jobs/projects at one time.

You’ll ideally be educated to Degree level or HNC/HND equivalent in Quantity Surveying.

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word & Outlook
• Ability to prioritise and work flexibly to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines
• Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and also as part of a busy team.
• Ability to deal tactfully with sensitive or confidential information
• Ability to use initiative and problem solve
• An excellent team player, showing flexibility and a responsive attitude to team/individual tasks.
