Bid Writer - North West London

Minstrell Recruitment have been instructed by a medium sized main contractor to source them an intermediate / senior bid writer to join their commercial team in NW London.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Drafting of method statements (typically 1st or 2nd drafts) based on writing plans, or other support provided by the Bid Manager / Head of Proposals, client specifications and input from company professional specialists.
  • Bids drafts will be subject to constructive review by the Bid Manager / Head of Proposals
  • Reviews of client ITT (Invitation To Tender) documents to determine contractor responsibilities and activities
  • Reviews and summaries of professional standard documents, as they relate to bids, for incorporation into bids or advice to the Bid Manager
  • Attending Bidder Days or other conferences that will support the submission of high quality bids or where company representation is required
  • Reviewing and / or proof reading submissions written by other member of the Bid Team
  • Writing and disseminating Opportunity Plans, ensuring all key information from the ITT has been extracted and included
  • Liaising with MDs, Contracts Managers and other relevant colleagues within the company to gain comprehensive and relevant process information for inclusion in bids

The Successful Applicant:

  • A proven track record within Bids. Ideally within a Construction company.
  • Degree level educated.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A driven and outgoing personality.
  • Able to work in NW London
