Principle Architect

THE CLIENT

My client, due to years of dedication & success, are an extremely reputable industry leader, dealing with projects across various sectors; offering a full ‘one-stop shop’ experience across D&B, Construction, Refurbishments and Asset Management services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen with this client’s North West Construction team! They’re looking to invest in a Principle Architect to join the team based out of their Salford offices, to provide architectural solutions to meet project and business requirements.

THE ROLE

• Working on a variety of bids within the education, commercial and science sectors.
• Role will focus on project delivery from RIBA stage 3 to completion, managing the design team and attending client meetings
• Provide architectural support for planning submissions scheme development and detail design stages.
• Work closely with commercial and construction teams during the preconstruction stages to critically review new tenders for technical compliance, to improve buildability, identify risks and assist with differentiating the submission.
• Work in compliance with company policies and procedures for operational efficiency.
• Where necessary develop scheme drawings using Revit and Sketch up to demonstrate value engineering options and alternatives
• Provide guidance to project teams in all stages of the RIBA digital plan of work
• Assist in developing architecture documents, performance and functional specifications, design documents, and architectural solutions.
• Be conversant with BIM level II protocols

ABOUT YOU

• You will be professionally qualified and be registered with the ARB (Architects Registration Board).
• You’ll possess Membership with RIBA – not essential, however highly advantageous.
• 5 years minimum project experience; must include project management, staff supervision, and client interface.
• Demonstrable post qualification experience preferably in high value commercial, science, residential and education sectors.
• Good & thorough knowledge of legislation, building regulations, codes and technical detailing.
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate IT proficiency in Revit 3D modelling and BIM applications.
• Good communication skills and the ability to represent the employer at client and contractor engagements
• Self-motivated, resourceful and flexible

- You must be prepared to occasionally travel to various project locations across the region, as/when required.
