We are looking for Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) to join our existing DEA team.
In this role you will be using your communication skills to work well with a wide range of people. A knowledge of buildings and heating systems will also help you to make your efficiency assessments.
As a DEA you will:
• inspect properties to collect information on their age, number of floors, building type, and heating and hot water systems
• note the number and sizes of rooms, corridors, windows and fireplaces
• possess a knowledge of construction methods, construction materials and heating systems
• enter the information into a computer software programme, which will produce an energy efficiency rating and an EPC
• need a Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment
.• need an understanding of the laws surrounding energy efficiency• demonstrate IT skills for using computer software to produce the EPC
• possess excellent communication skills
• need a willingness to work flexibly
